This site was created to "Promote Communication" within the transit work place and to provide information to the public and Employees of BC Transit and its affiliates. This site is not the property of BC Transit or its Unions, although it would not have been successful without their cooperation and assistance.
This site was started by two BC Transit Operators in Feb. 1996 as an e-mail newsletter for the sole use of the drivers. Since then additional Operators joined our team to work toward improving and expanding the site.
After less than a year in this form, it was decided to venture forth and create a website that would offer more versatility than just e-mail. With help from the owners of cityofgardens.com, and A&M Computers, then pacificcoast.net we created our first on-line presence, "For Drivers Only". The site was open only to drivers in Victoria, BC.
Later, we expanded yet again to open our site to all employees of BC Transit, and to provide them with an area to access information especially of interest to them, i.e. a members section. Our latest change also involves a new site location courtesy of Rick MacMurchie of Great White North Technologies.
Through attrition over the years, this has become a one man operation. I hope you will find the information on this site of interest.
